The Buffalo Curling Club has shut down all curling operations for the remainder of the season due to the uncertain conditions surrounding COVID-19 and related factors. Along with the cancellation of league play for the 2019-2020 season, all rentals and bonspiels have been cancelled or postponed as well. BCC initially alerted curlers that it was monitoring the situation and has now made the difficult decision to close immediately out of an abundance of caution and care for the community and its members and invaluable volunteers.
“It is with great sadness, that BCC’s 2019-20120 season is officially over,” stated Danielle Buchbinder, BCC President. “None of the above has come without great thought and consideration of the COVID-19 pandemic. I hope our membership is understanding of the decisions we have had to make to support our community and help position our Club the best going forward. PLEASE … Stay healthy and safe so we can all reunite on the ice come Fall!”
The Board will communicate separately to its members, renters and bonspiel participants regarding pending credits and or refunds for the cancelled season. In addition, the Board announced its Annual Meeting of the Membership and board elections have been postponed to May 20, 2020.
