Above is a video demonstration on how curling will look this season at the Buffalo Curling Club due to Covid-19 Safety Measures.
The Buffalo Curling Club has shut down all curling operations for the remainder of the season due to the uncertain conditions surrounding COVID-19 and related factors. Along with the cancellation of league play for the 2019-2020 season, all rentals and bonspiels have been cancelled or postponed as well. BCC initially alerted curlers that it was monitoring the situation and has now made the difficult decision to close immediately out of an abundance of caution and care for the community and its members and invaluable volunteers.
Effective immediately, the Buffalo Curling Club has suspended all curling-related activities for at least two weeks due to concerns over the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. “The health and safety of not only our members, but also the families and friends of our members are a top priority,” the Board said in a statement last evening. “We’d like to thank our members for their continued support during this challenging time. The decision to suspend all curling activities did not come lightly and involved significant discussion and consultation. We believe this is the safest decision for everyone.”
